Lecturing, Brazilian Portuguese Lessons and Tuition

Since 2000, I have taught Brazilian Portuguese for business, travel and general purposes and have worked for a range of educational institutions, including City Lit, Morley College and University College London. I have also provided Brazilian Portuguese lessons for law firms and financial companies in the UK.

I have acted as an assessor and an examiner, creating and marking oral and written exams for the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting and the Metropolitan Police Test provided by the Chartered Institute of Linguists, in the UK.
Since 2013, I have been working as a Part-Time Lecturer at CLIE, University College London. In 2014, I was invited by Leeds University to teach consecutive and simultaneous interpreting as a Visiting Lecturer for the MA Conference Interpreting & Translation Studies (MACITS).

I support and encourage colleagues, friends and clients to support the work of the following charities:

Outside work, I enjoy the outdoors, travelling, baking, running, gardening, blogging, yoga and I am a keen cyclist and member of the London Cycling Campaign.

Since 2014, I have been elected as Treasurer of the Walworth Allotment Association, where I look after a beautiful plot, which is open to the public during the Open Garden Squares Weekend.

I enjoy volunteering to professional organisations in my field and have a strong passion for community engagement.
